Method 1: Using Keyboard Shortcuts #
This is the fastest way to take a screenshot in Google Chrome.
For Windows: #
- Open the page you want to capture.
- Press Ctrl + Print Screen (PrtScn) to take a screenshot of the entire screen.
- Press Alt + Print Screen (PrtScn) to capture only the active window (Chrome browser).
- Paste the screenshot in an application like Paint, Word, or an email using Ctrl + V, then save the image.
For macOS: #
- Open the page you want to capture.
- Press Cmd + Shift + 3 to take a screenshot of the entire screen.
- Press Cmd + Shift + 4 to select a specific area of the screen.
- The screenshot will be saved automatically on your desktop.
Method 2: Using Chrome’s Built-in Screenshot Tool #
Chrome’s Developer Tools include a built-in option to take full-page screenshots.
Step 1: Open Developer Tools #
- Open the webpage you want to capture.
- Press F12 or Ctrl + Shift + I (Windows) / Cmd + Option + I (macOS) to open Developer Tools.
Step 2: Take a Screenshot #
- Click on the three dots menu in the top-right corner of Developer Tools.
