Password-protecting a page on your website allows you to restrict access and keep certain content private. This feature is useful for creating exclusive content, private client pages, or internal resources. With OzSpeed’s Website Builder and WordPress, you can easily password-protect individual pages. Here’s how to do it step by step.
Step 1: Decide Which Page to Protect #
Before setting up password protection, decide which page(s) you want to secure. Typical pages to protect include:
- Private Client Pages
- Exclusive Content (e.g., VIP Resources)
- Internal Resources for Staff
- Draft Pages for Team Review
Tip: #
- Ensure that sensitive information is not indexed by search engines by blocking the page from search results.

- Private Message: Share the password through a secure messaging platform.
- Member Portal: Include the password in a member-only area or portal.
Tip: #
- Do not display the password on publicly accessible parts of your website.

After enabling password protection, test the page to ensure that it requires a password for access.
How to Test: #
- Open an incognito/private browsing window.
- Visit the URL of the protected page.
- Check that the password prompt appears.
- Enter the password to verify that it unlocks the page.
Tip: #

- Clear your browser cache and try entering the password again.
- Page Still Accessible Without Password:
- Ensure you enabled Password Protection in the settings.
- Clear the website cache in hPanel and your browser cache.
- SEO Concerns:

- Monitor Access: Keep track of who has the password to ensure it’s not shared publicly.
