Step 1: Access the WordPress Overview #
- Log in to your hPanel Dashboard at ozspeed.com.au.
- Navigate to the Website section and click on “WordPress Overview”.
Step 2: Open the Themes and Plugins Management Section #
- In the WordPress Overview, look for the “Themes and Plugins” tab.
- Click on this tab to view a list of all installed themes and plugins on your WordPress site.
Managing Themes #
Update Themes #
- Scroll down to the Themes section.
- If any updates are available, you’ll see an “Update” button next to the theme name.
- Click “Update” to install the latest version.
Activate or Deactivate Themes #
- Find the theme you want to activate or deactivate.
- Click “Activate” to make it the current theme for your WordPress site.
- Click “Deactivate” if you want to switch back to a previous theme.
Delete Themes #
- Click on the three-dot menu (•••) next to the theme name.
- Select “Delete” and confirm your action to remove the theme.
Tip: #
- Only keep themes you actively use to reduce potential conflicts and improve site performance.
Managing Plugins #
Update Plugins #
- In the Plugins section, you’ll see a list of all installed plugins.
- If updates are available, click “Update All” to update all plugins at once, or click “Update” next to individual plugins.
Activate or Deactivate Plugins #
- Locate the plugin you want to manage.
- Click “Activate” to enable the plugin or “Deactivate” to disable it.
Delete Plugins #
- Click on the three-dot menu (•••) next to the plugin name.
- Select “Delete” and confirm your action to remove the plugin from your site.

- Deactivate and delete unused plugins to enhance your site’s security and performance.
Step 3: Enable Auto-Updates for Themes and Plugins #
- In the Themes and Plugins section, look for the Auto-Update option.
- Toggle the switch to enable auto-updates for selected themes and plugins.

- Enabling auto-updates helps keep your site secure by automatically installing the latest versions.
Step 4: Check Compatibility and Conflicts #
- Use the Compatibility Checker tool available in the WordPress Overview.
- Click “Scan for Conflicts” to identify any potential issues between installed plugins and themes.

- Resolve any detected conflicts by updating or replacing incompatible plugins or themes.
Step 5: Monitor Performance #
- Go back to the main WordPress Overview dashboard.
- Review the Site Health and Performance sections for recommendations on optimizing your themes and plugins.

- Disable heavy plugins that are not essential to improve your site’s loading speed.

- Backup Before Changes: Create a backup of your site using the Backups tool in hPanel before making significant changes to themes or plugins.
